Puffer Qualifier
The Organising Committee of the PuFfer (Peninsula Ultra Fun Run 80km) will accept the O2O as a qualifying ultra for those participants who complete the full distance of 50km

Dirk MkintoshDirk McIntosh
Dirk first became interested in running during his early schooling in Kwazulu Natal and went on to complete his first Comrades Marathon in 1987. After relocating to Cape Town in 1997, Dirk’s love of the mountains led him to concentrate solely on trail running, in particular, mountain trail running.

He has competed in most of the local trail runs and has earned permanent numbers for the grueling “Three Peaks Challenge” and the  PuFfer (The Peninsula Ultra Fun Run, 80km) Dirk is also a keen hiker and a member of the Cape Town section of the Mountain Club of South Africa.

He has lead the last Five “Ocean2Ocean” challenges and will lead the 50km run.

Barry Washkansky
Barry was born and raised in the shadow of Table Mountain and developed his love for the mountains on Cape Town's many peaks and trails.

A qualified mountain guide, he has been showing off the Cape Mountains to tourists and friends for more than 10 years and hikes and runs regularly in the Cape Peninsula. He has completed most of the Cape's trail runs and achieved permanent numbers for the Three Peaks Challenge and Puffer.

He has completed four Ocean2Ocean runs and leads the 40km run.
